Antioxidant, Antibacterial and Antiqourum Sensing Properties of Selected Wild Tea Leaves of Mountain Province

This study investigated the potential biological activities by determining antioxidant (DPPH Assay), antibacterial (Agar-well Diffusion Method), and antiquorum sensing (Crystal Violet based Microtitre Plate Biofilm Assay) of selected wild tea leaves Mt. Province, namely: Cinnamomum mercadoi S. Vidal, Gaultheria leucocarpa var. cumingiana (S.Vidal), Clausena sanki (Perr.) J.F. Molino mollis (Merr.) J.F Molino, Descasporum fruticosum (J.R. Forst G. Forst) Glycomis pentaphylla. It was shown that all he have properties. (S.Vidal) however, exhibited highest radical scavenging activity 88.67%, which indicates it is best among samples. Results also proved plants property against E. coli, P. aeruginosa, aureus, B. subtilis. Moreover, result Assay showed had moderate bacterial species tested. concluded ethanolic leaves’ extracts samples antioxidant, antibacterial, property. Therefore, this hopes to promote consumption on a commercial scale due its additional health benefits. may be worthy consider natural products alternative medicines as prevention treatments for diseases.
